CBT is a structured, practical form of therapy that focuses on how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. When we're struggling mentally or emotionally, our thoughts can become distorted or overly negative, leading to patterns that keep us feeling stuck. CBT helps you identify these unhelpful thinking styles and replace them with more balanced, realistic ones. It also encourages small, manageable behavioural changes that build confidence and reduce distress.
CBT is evidence-based and often used to treat issues like anxiety, depression, OCD, and low self-esteem.
While counselling focuses on emotional exploration and understanding your personal story, CBT offers tools and strategies for change. Together, they create a balanced approach that supports both healing and practical progress.
Counselling helps you feel heard and validated, while CBT gives you ways to challenge unhelpful patterns and regain a sense of control. For many people, this combination allows for deeper insight and real results, especially if you're facing both emotional pain and day-to-day difficulties.
Counselling and CBT can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-criticism and life transitions. These approaches are especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or no longer able to cope in the way you usually do.
You don’t need to have a diagnosis to benefit - just a sense that something’s not right and a willingness to explore what might help. Whether you’re carrying pain from the past or struggling to manage the present, support is available... and change is possible.
I aim to support women through challenging situations and life stages and use my collected skills to offer the best route forward, whether that's counselling, CBT, coaching, or a mixture of all, to give you the best outcomes and tools and daily habits that you can take with you in to the next chapter of your life. Sessions are tailored to you and your therapy goals and go at a pace that you're comfortable with.

We would start with a 30-minute free online consultation to discuss your situation. It's also our chance to see how we feel we'd work together, and for you to decide if you're ready to get started. We'll then agree a way forward and schedule our weekly sessions.
After that, your weekly sessions will be around 45 minutes long, ideally held at the same time/day each week to give you consistency. Sessions are held via Zoom and are completely confidential. If you struggle with technology, don't worry, we'll figure out a way that works for you that isn't stressful!
Sessions are relaxed, safe and calming. I do not judge, or make assumptions - I'm here to listen, support and guide you towards a place where you feel heard, lighter, brighter and optimistic about the future x
